Hi everyone

Mmmmm.... not much going on at the moment, gearing up for christmas - wrapping loads of pressies :) Thats the trouble with having a large family i suppose lol. Love buying & giving pressies - hate wrapping them!

Will update the books read list tomorrow - seems to have slowed down a bit lately - not had a chance to read as been too busy.

We went to the cinema to watch the new Sherlock Holmes movie on Friday - really enjoyed it - not sure about the scene where Stephen Fry was naked - was very funny tho. I do love Stephen - one of my favorite actors/readers/writers/commedians etc

Ebays on hold for the minute - not worth selling this side of christmas. Will start again in January...

Anyway back to wrapping pressies, more soon

Woohoo sold another couple of books on Ebay, only 3 but..... its all de-cluttering :) and the money will go towards the fundraising for the walk next year.

Have walked 3 times so far this week - need to get back in the habit as the last couple of weeks have been dire. Walking tonight as well with CYM, very dark already so i'll have to remember my torch. Weightloss as a consequence has stalled and i've been the same weight for the last 4 weeks :(

I've started drinking green tea - it's vile - but i'm perservering - today is day 4 :)

I'm currently reading Unraveling Anne by Laurell Saville - a book about a womens relationship with her alcoholic murdered mother. Quite interesting as she looks back and puts things into context and comes to terms with her childhood.

seem to have stalled on my other 101 thinks at the moment (not that i currently have 101!)

Sold another book - that's another 99p in the pot :)

Daughter has just brought a rabbit so i'm rabbit sitting tonight whilst she works. It is quite cute, & it's called Alfie (i keep calling it Brian to wind her up lol)

Still ebaying YAWN. Watching princesss bride is far more exciting though :(

Jade is off to Random Concept tonight so i guess that's me playing taxi. Just hope they don't need picking up too early in the morning.

Made a decision - i really want to be debt free by 50 - including my mortgage - not sure how close i'll get but i'm gonna give it a go - there's a saying about aiming for the moon cos if you fail you'll be in the stars - so i have nothing to loose. :)

Ebaying

Why is ebaying soo mind numbingly boring? I've approx 6,000 books to get rid of so i'm having a little ebay session but i'm so bored.

I've sold 3 books - grand total of 2.97 lol.

Anyway i thought i'd update the credit card totals - mainly to shock myself into actually doing something about them

Vanquis £1,303.34
Virgin £5,278 (0%)
Barclaycard £6800.72

Soo, i need to come up with a plan of action - i just have no idea what that is :/

Back to ebaying - guess it's helping with the decluttering as well lol

meanderings

Weight loss this week was 2lbs - no idea how i managed to pull that one out of the bag as i have eaten for england and not walked all well! Oh well, i'm not complaining :)

Went to see the Three Muskateers today at the cinema (with Ray Stevenson {Drool} ) it was fab! Loved it.

Not done much reading this week, trying to list some stuff on e-bay - it is soooo boring. Managed to list 10 books today - not going to get rich like that! More tomorrow - need to pay the credit cards off somehow :(

Procrastination

Mmmmm.... the only goal i seem to be making headway with is reading books lol.

I think i need to sit down and re-evaluate where i am and what my aims are - and then do some of them!!

A lot of time has been taken up with hospital visits with Paul - outlook isn't too good but nothing we wasn't really expecting. He has blockages in both legs caused by the calcium - they can operate but it would put his kidney at risk :(
He also has just been diagnosed with Barret's Esophagus, need to look at his diet to see if we can relieve some of the causes/symptoms.
He has just had a gromet fitted but has now got an ear infection lol.

I think he is just falling apart :)

Walking has been non-existant this week :( and diet has been completely pants. Need to shake myself up and try again.

Decluttering the spare room has meant that i have stuck a few books on fleabay - no sales yet :( but i live in hope.

Good news on the weight front :) Weight now 109.9kg (was 114.5kg at start) i think this is definatly down to the walking.

I walked from Aldbury to Ivenhoe Beacon at the weekend with CYM (Climb your mountain) Lovely walk just got a bit wet and nearly blown away. It was just over 8 miles and it just shows that i'm definatly getting fiotter as my legs didn't ache and i wasn't so exhauseted after completing it, Didn't climb the big hill though - will do that next time.

I've been walking willen lake again in the mornings - will miss Thus & Friday this week as both P & J have hospital appointments. My freind & i managed it in under 50 mins today.

Have been looking at geocaching and i think i'll go and look for my first this weekend - No walks planned so far so i need something to do.

Am trying to get the family history in order so that it can be accessible to everyone - need to learn how do create & maintain a website - may look and see if there is an evening course i can do.

more books

7. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

8. Snow White: Rose Red by Saffina Desforges

9. My Best Freind's Girl by Dorothy Koomson

2. How i caused the credit crunch - Tetsuya Ishikawa - A traders veiw of how the credit crunch came about detailed in a way thet the lay person can understand. Reading it made me realise just how much of a house of cards the trading markets were and got me wondering just how they were allowed to get away with it when it was sooo glaringly obvious there were problems. Did make me very angry but i enjoyed reading it.

3. The Ice Princess - Camilla Lackberg

4. Menage - Emma Holly

5. Stand and Deliver - Adam Ant

6. Borkmann's Point - Hakan Nesser

memory?

hmmmm..... maybe one of the things on my to-do list should be to improve my memory - i may then remember to update my blog lol

I've been reading lots and walking lots but other than that things are really quiet - for a change :)

I booked today of work to take his lordship to hospital so they can fit the T-piece in his ear - only to find out when he rang to see if a bed was avaliable he had the wrong day - so we will go on Thursday instead {sigh} Men!! I came into work instead - wish i hadn't as i will be stuck in a meeting all afternoon.

I did the newport pagnell muster at the weekend and walked here just under 9 miles - it was a lovely day and luckily the rain held off. Followed this up by taking Paul for a meal in Giraffe.

Will update list of books read shortly - need to update 101 list as well

Weight loss

Mmmmmm...... things arn't going too well on the weight loss front - only 1/2lb this week, really need to look at my diet and exercise regime.

I do walk at least 10,000 steps a day as i am taking part in the Global Corporate Challange (a virtual walk around the world - and the commitment is a minimum of 10,000 steps a day). Most morning i am walking Willen Lakes before work - approx 3.5 miles. Anyway today is Thursday which is walking group day - with Climb Your Mountain a local charity - and we are walking Caldecotte Lake - approx 4 miles, but unfortunatly i missed my morning walk today as i was at the opticians getting my contact lenses sorted :)

I'm currently reading Borkmann's Point by Hakan Nesser (36% of the way through - I love my Kindle :) ) I am really into the scandinavian thrillers at the moment and i am a huge fan of Steig' Larssons The Girl trilogy.
